This process uses highly durable inks capable of printing precise designs onto many different materials including plastics and metal. However, this method is best for paper products such as photographs or complex graphics. On garments, litho heat transfers are a good option for transferring, say, a picture onto a T-shirt as opposed to a typical logo design. This procedure is most ideal for projects requiring a large volume of products printed with the same design since preparing litho transfers requires more materials, more equipment and more time to set up everything than other processes. With large runs, though, this method is very fast and cost-effective.
